Happy hearts day, Dear!

Image
Feburary 14, 2018 Gone are those days when you would send me flowers in the office, or surprise me when I wake up with a breakfast in bed, whenever valentines day come. This sounds awful, right? Well, not really. LOVE is not celebrated on Valentines Day only. LOVE is celebrated everyday. A kiss in my forehead whenever we part from work means so much to me. It's a reminder of our love for each other. It's a reminder of the vow we made from seven years ago. I may not tell you this everyday, but I do love you every second of everyday. I treasure every moments together. Those moments when you get to  fetch me from work and we have our alone time together. Talking just about anything -  our goals in life, plans for our family....Arguing over what's more important- financial stability or  significance in  life? This got me thinking and I know that I'm so focused about our financial goals that sometimes I'm forgetting to live life. I easily get angry whenever ...

Seven years and counting

Image
" I have found the one whom my soul loves" song of solomon 3:4 7 years ago today, we tied the knot. I was 4 months pregnant when we got married. We were not engaged for too long, but still, we decided to marry. I honestly don't know why. All we know and feel that moment was that it was the right thing to do. Probably not in the way that we want it to be, but everything happens for a reason and God's plan is always the best plan. I was never really a happy mother to be. I was not excited at all. I felt tired, exhausted and unhappy. I was aloof to people. I seldom go out. I was not interested to talk about my pregnancy. I guess maybe I was not yet ready back then. June 21, 2011, I gave birth to our little boy. Motherhood still didn't excite me. I felt so young and naive to have this kind of responsibility. Especially when I learned that our baby has clubfoot. It broke my heart. I didn't know what to do. My only solace was you....

DARK BOTTOM CUPCAKE

Image
Everyday is a new cupcake recipe day! And today, I will share with you my Dark Bottom Cupcake recipe. Also named as Black bottom cupcake or chocolate surprise cupcake or you can call it whatever you want to call it. You see, I didn't study baking or had a formal course with baking. I learned to cook and bake on  my own through YouTube and google. Whenever I want to cook something, I just grab on my laptop or my mobile phone to search on the food I want to cook. I use YouTube if it's my first time to make it, but I'm using google more just to get the recipe. It's my first time to make this but not my first time to bake cupcakes, so I'm going for google this time. I downloaded the "all recipes" app so I can just search whatever I want to bake right directly on the app. So guys, here goes my recipe for "Dark Bottom Cupcake" which I got from allrecipes.com.   Ingredients: 1 package cream cheese 1 egg 1/3 cup white suga...

PASSION FRUIT CUPCAKE WITH MERINGUE FROSTING

Image
Hey there! Just randomly, I decided to make a passion fruit cupcake. I was suppose to make a calamansi cupcake but then I saw this pile of passion fruits just lying around the kitchen sink. And nobody cares about it. And so I decided to make this one. I got the recipe from this site http://www.taste.com.au/recipes/28366/passionfruit+meringue+cupcakes , but I modify some of it. Here goes my passion fruit cupcake with meringue frosting recipe. What you will need: For the cupcake: 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened 3/4 cup white sugar 11/4 cup all purpose flour 3 eggs 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp baking soda 1 tsp vanilla extract (essence or flavor will do) 1/3 cup passion fruit For the meringue: 3 egg whites 1/2 cup white sugar 1 tbsp passion fruit Step 1: Preheat oven to 160 degrees Celsius. Prepare 12 paper cups for the muffins. ( But this time, I'm using silicon cups which I bought online.) Step 2: Using an electric mixer, beat butter and sugar until fluffy...

Angel's Touch

Image
June 21,2011 at around 5:45 in the afternoon, I was sent inside the operating room to have a caesarian delivery since my cervix was not opening and that my amniotic fluid is less than the normal. This means that I am in an emergency situation and that my baby needs to come out before he runs out of air inside my tummy. I was a bit scared when I entered the operating room. My heart was pounding so fast. My ob-gyne was already there, her attending physician, two nurses and my anesthesiologist. I was wide-awake during the operation feeling the slicing of my tummy and they were like moving my internal organs or something. I can hear all of them talking but I was kind of nauseated and felt a little sleepy. The difference between a normal delivery and a caesarian delivery is of course, the pain that you will feel from the start of your labor until the coming out of the baby with all the strength you will need to push the baby out. This is just one thing I missed out. But what really...
